Today was a quieter day with less activities than we have experienced to date. No alarms are set (isn't that the way vacations are supposed to be), and when we were all up and showered, we had a light breakfast, piled into the HILUX and headed south. The first little town we stopped in was Berrima to check out the little shops along the main drag. I couldn't help take a photo of the sign that described the angle parking in front of the shops given how they spell "curb" down under.

We spent some time checking out the little shops and then hopped back in the HILUX to head to Bowral where Margaret knew of a bakery that she wanted to stop at for lunch. We found the (warning, clicking on this link may make you hungry) Gumnut Patisserie in Bowral, the place she was thinking of, but couldn't remember the name, and parked the vehicle. The placed was lined up out the door, which is usually a good sign. Who would wait in line for bad food? Steve and I scouted out what we wanted and then went around the side to find a table while the girls went inside to order. On second thought, it was probably not a good idea to send the girls in there unaccompanied.
When they came out, they had our lighter lunch and their choice of pastry. Margaret was still laughing from an incident that happened inside when she order hers and Steve's coffee. It seems that once the order was placed the clerk asked Margaret what name she wanted, and clearly still dreaming about the pastry and coffee's she blurted out, "Cappuccino?". To which the clerk replied, "No, What name do you want us to call for this?". Apparently Margaret was laughing so hard now, she could hardly reply. Since she relayed that incident to us, I've been calling her "Cappuccino".
It was right around this time that I got a call from the Sturgeon Hospital back home to let me know that they were about to admit my mother for an infection she had in one of her legs. This would be the third time she has been hospitalized for the same thing. Hard news to hear when you are so far away.
We then walked down the streets of Bowral for a little while, in and out of the little shops along the street. Steve picked up some nice fluorescent pink zip ties; ones that almost looked like they would glow in the dark. I was not going to ask what he had in mind for them.
We then made our way to Wollworth's in Bowral, a grocery chain here in Australia, to pick up some provisions for dinner. It was a bit of a walk up a ramp - far enough for Margaret to want to call an uber. ;-)
We then jumped back in the truck and headed for home. We arrived back at about 4:30 PM so we just relaxed for a while and then started to cook dinner. I kept Steve company in the garage while he cooked the steaks on his Webber while the other components were manufactured in the kitchen. Dinner was fantastic, as they all have been since we have been here. We keep trying to help, but that doesn't get very far as Margaret keeps saying, "You're on vacation". While that's true, we would like to help make the burden a little lighter.
I was given the job to pick a movie we could watch after dinner and we settled on "The Burial", with Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones. It was worth a watch. I had to hook my mac up to the amp they have hidden in a closet to get it to work through their system. Isn't technology fun. For some reason, after about 45 minutes, the mac stops, so I had to get it restarted again. So many settings, so little time.
Tomorrow is going to be another lighter day as we know that on Thursday we are going to have to get up early to make our way, by train, back to Sydney as Laureen was able to score some tickets to tour the Sydney Opera house for 10:30 AM. It's too bad that we could not do it while we were IN Sydney, but this way Steve and Margaret can join us on the tour. Now we just have to work out the train schedule.
